Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
